Our Team

We take your safety and our work seriously. Black Hole Body Piercing staff are highly trained in cross-contamination and medical-level cleanliness. They are certified in bloodborne pathogens, first aid, and CPR. All our piercers are members of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP). They attend annual training to stay up-to-date and continue developing their body piercing skills.

Angela

She/her

Angela is the owner of Black Hole Body Piercing. With over 29 years of piercing, Angela is the most experienced professional piercer in her hometown of Reno, Nevada. Clients travel far and wide for her skills and expertise.

At Black Hole, she strives to provide the best customer service possible. Her staff inspires her every day, keeping the business fresh with their ideas and passion for the piercing industry. Angela credits Black Hole’s ever-growing success to making customer service the highest priority.

Joshua

He/him

Josh is a Midwest born and raised body piercer with an enthusiasm for riding motorcycles, traveling, spending time in nature, and loving all things gold. He’s had a passion for the piercing industry since he was a teenager and he doesn't see that dwindling anytime in the near future.

He has been piercing professionally since 2012, and has been a full time part of the Black Hole staff since 2018.

Montana

She/her

Montana started her journey to becoming a piercer in 2017 shortly after graduating high school. Body piercing has always been an interest and passion for her. She loves getting to pierce rooks and septums, but her favorite thing is getting to do someone’s first piercing.

Savvy

Savvy’s passion for body piercing started with their first professional nose piercing, which inspired them to create positive experiences for others. They enjoy all types of piercings. Outside work, Savvy writes, creates clay art, and loves camping and hiking with their pets.

The BEST experience in there today. Every single employee was top notch. From checking us in, picking out jewelry, to then going back to pierce my daughter’s ears. The way they were talking to my daughter—their patience overall, never felt rushed (picking out jewelry is hard guys, ha). Savvy even told my daughter ‘listen to your body—if you aren’t feeling it, we don’t have to do this today—we can try again another day’. I just really loved how wonderful everyone was in there. Alexandra is a born & raised Reno, Nevadan, and has been a part of the Black Hole crew since 2015. She strives to provide a wonderful working environment for the staff, grow Black Hole to be the best it can be for its clients, and helps the studio run smoothly behind the scenes.

In her off time she loves reading while snuggled with her cat Sophie, playing video games & watching stories with her partner, and spending as much time in nature as she can.

Aly

She/her

Aly has been a part of the piercing industry for 13 years, and part of the Black Hole crew since 2018. Her passion for the industry has grown into inventory management and careful curation of the studio’s jewelry collection. Outside of work, Aly enjoys spending time at home with her partner and their 3 doggos, working out, rewatching New Girl, cooking, and playing video games.

Jewelry Specialists

Bella

She/they

Bella is a born and raised Reno Nevadan with a passion for all things art. They joined the BHBP team in early 2022, and started working as a jewelry specialist early 2023, and they love it. Her favorite aspects of the job are educating clients on things they may not have known about their jewelry, and helping them find unique and beautiful pieces that they can love for years to come. In their freetime, Bee can be found making music with their friends and crocheting sweaters for her dog.

Lesli

She/they

Lesli is our newest addition to the Black Hole staff, and she is the kindest, sweetest soul. She is one of our Front Desk Receptionists and is eager to help all folks who walk through the door.They recently transitioned into jewelry specialist, and enjoys it very much. Lesli is kind and informative, and loves educating people on their piercings & our body jewelry.

Becca

She/her

Becca joined Black Hole in August of 2024, and is a former Black Hole client turned jewelry specialist! Outside of work she enjoys spending time cuddling her partner, her fur babies, and thrifting the cutest vintage-y and most leopard-y things.

Receptionists

Sam

She/her

Sam has been a core Black Hole crew member since 2020. Sam is our original Kiosk Queen, and helps folks with all things appointment related. She truly loves the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and connect with our clientele, and finds joy in helping others achieve their dreams. She enjoys helping soothe clients’ fears and enjoying the euphoria of making dreams come true!

Sam’s workplace is a special haven for her, where she feels fully accepted and supported. She feels can embrace her authentic self, contributing to an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. In her off time she is an avid reader, and loves spending quality time with her sister & nieces.

Tess

She/her

Tess joined Black Hole in September of 2024 and loves having the opportunity to meet such unique and creative people every day. When she’s not in the studio, she works for a New York literary agency as their executive assistant.

In her free time, Tess can be found reading gothic fiction, listening to strange music, playing with her gremlin cat or, occasionally, doing all three at once.

Ivy

She/her

Ivy is another newer addition to our studio, and we’re stoked to have her! She comes from a jewelry background and now splits her time between the studio and slinging at Recycled Records. Off the clock, she's hanging with her cat or jamming in her band.
