We take your safety—and our work—seriously. Every member of our team is extensively trained in cross-contamination prevention and medical-grade hygiene. We’re certified in Bloodborne Pathogens, First Aid, and CPR, and we strictly follow all county and state health regulations.

As proud members of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP), we stay current through continued education. Our team regularly attends industry conferences—and many of us have even had the honor of teaching and presenting at them.

Whether it’s the piercings we perform or the jewelry we carry, we’re committed to offering only what we’d trust ourselves.

Angela Watson is the owner of Black Hole Body Piercing in Reno, Nevada. With more than 30 years of professional experience, she is the most seasoned piercer in her hometown, and clients travel from across the region to seek out her skill and expertise. Since Black Hole began in late 1994, Angela has built a reputation for precision, professionalism, and exceptional customer care. She believes that great customer service is the foundation of Black Hole’s continued success.

Angela has been a proud member of the Association of Professional Piercers since 2017, and she regularly educates, volunteers, and attends industry events such as the APP Conference and Camp APP Retreat.

When she is not at the studio, she spends her time with friends & family, or at Disneyland.

Joshua

Josh is a Midwest born and raised body piercer with an enthusiasm for riding motorcycles, traveling, spending time in nature, and loving all things gold. He’s had a passion for the piercing industry since he was a teenager and he doesn't see that dwindling anytime in the near future.

He has been piercing professionally since 2012, and has been a full time part of the Black Hole staff since 2018.

Montana

Montana was born in La Mirada,CA in her grandmother’s living room. She began her piercing journey in 2017, shortly after graduating high school, and has been dedicated to the craft ever since. Body piercing quickly grew from just an interest into a true passion. She especially loves working with rooks and helix’s, but her most favorite is the excitement of guiding someone through their very first piercing.

When Montana is not in the studio, you can usually find her at home spending time with her cats.

Savvy began their piercer journey in late 2021. While they are originally from the midwest, they have come to love the Reno valley since joining the Black Hole team in early 2024. They enjoy all types of piercings and love bringing curations to life.

Outside work, Savvy writes, creates clay art, and loves hiking with their husband and pup.

Nicole grew up in Nevada City, California. From the second she started piercing in 2022, she knew she was in the right place. Her passion for piercing grows every day! She enjoys performing all piercings and how happy it makes people when they get to see their new look.

In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her dogs, spending time at the lake & river in the summer, or skiing and snowboarding in the winter.

Alexandra is a born & raised Reno, Nevadan, and has been a part of the Black Hole crew since 2015. She strives to provide a wonderful working environment for the staff, grow Black Hole to be the best it can be for its clients, and helps the studio run smoothly behind the scenes.

In her off time she loves reading while snuggled with her cat Sophie, playing video games & watching stories with her partner, and spending as much time in nature as she can.

Aly has been a part of the piercing industry for 17 years, and part of the Black Hole crew since 2018. Her passion for the industry has grown into inventory management and careful curation of the studio’s jewelry collection.

Outside of work, Aly enjoys spending time at home with her partner, their 2 dogs, as well as her pet spider, working out, watching Anime, and cooking.

Bella is a born and raised Reno Nevadan, with a passion for all things art. She joined the BHBP team in early 2022 and started working as a jewelry specialist in early 2023. She loves it. Her favorite aspects of the job are educating clients on things they may not have known about their jewelry and helping them find unique and beautiful pieces that they can love for years to come.

In her spare time, Bella can be found spending time with family and working on her crochet projects.

Lesli joined the BHBP team back in 2023. From moving from reception to jewelry specialist, connecting with people has been her favorite part of Lesle's career. Second to that would be helping people adorn themselves with gorgeous pieces! Lesli loves yellow gold and her favorite stone has to be a zawadi sapphire.

In her free time, Lesli loves to travel and hang out with her loved ones.

Becca was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. As a teenager, she fell in love with the world of body modifications and is living her dream by being a part of the Black Hole team. She most enjoys getting to make clients laugh and helping them to complete their jewelry goals.

Outside of work, you can find Becca hanging out with her pets or grabbing coffee with her friends.

Ivy was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. She joined the Black Hole crew in early spring of 2025. Having a jewelry background for nearly 6 years, she now splits her time between the studio and slinging at Recycled Records. Connecting and helping clients adorn themselves is something that she takes special interest in. Expression and creativity is everything!

Off the clock, she's hanging out with her cat, skateboarding or making music with her loved ones.

Sam has been a core Black Hole crew member since 2020. She truly loves the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and connect with our clientele, and finds joy in helping others achieve their dreams. She enjoys helping soothe clients’ fears and enjoying the euphoria of making dreams come true! Work truly is one of her favorite safe havens to be.

In her off time she is an avid reader, loves spending quality time as an auntie, and loves makeup & dressing up.

Tess

She/her

Tess joined Black Hole in September of 2024 and loves having the opportunity to meet such unique and creative people every day. When she’s not in the studio, she works for a New York literary agency as their executive assistant.

In her free time, Tess is an avid listener of strange music and a writer, with a forthcoming dark comedy from Penguin Random House. Her debut novel publishes in 2027.

Caleb

Caleb joined the Black Hole team in fall of 2025. He’s a longtime client of BHBP, and couldn’t be more excited to learn everything he can about the piercing industry.

When not at work you can find him reading, backpacking with his partner and dog, or selling art at a market around town.
