Can I bring my family and friends with me to my appointment? You can bring one guest along with you! We are a small studio so unfortunately, we cannot accommodate large groups; extra folks in your party will have to wait outside during your appointment. My friend and I both want piercings, what’s the easiest way to book multiple appointments?Call us at 775-329-6010 for help with booking multiple piercings or multiple people. Private piercing parties (groups of 4+) are available by request, email [email protected] for more info. |
How much does a piercing cost? Our piercing fees vary depending on skill and time required; $40-$50 for most piercings. All of our piercings come with a can of Sterile Saline and free follow up care. Multiple piercings and genitals have additional fees. Jewelry is not included in the piercing fee and is purchased separately. The average piercing with our most simple jewelry styles is $90-$110. The final cost really all depends on the jewelry you chose. We stock a large selection of implant grade body jewelry to fit all styles and budgets. Can I bring my own jewelry to get pierced with?If the jewelry is from us or another studio with an APP member, most likely yes! Drop off your jewelry at least two hours before your appointment so we can make sure it is the correct size and style for your brand new piercing and verify which vendor it is from. We charge a small fee to clean and sterilize it so it is safe to use. If your jewelry is not from us or another studio with an APP member, unfortunately, we will not be able to use it - but we have an extensive jewelry selection for you to choose from for your brand new piercing! When and why should I come in for a check-up?We suggest all of our clients come in for a free check-up 6 weeks after getting a brand new piercing. This allows a piercer to take a look at your piercing and make sure everything is healing as expected and go over any questions you may have. We also can downsize a piercing in which the post has become too long, this helps to avoid irritation and angling during the healing process. When applicable, downsizing is a very important part of the healing process! How old do you have to be to get a piercing? For earlobes, you have to be at least 5 years of age or older! For anything else, you must be at least 14 years of age or older! We do need some documents in order to pierce minors. We need:
We can waive the need for a birth certificate if the minor has a state ID with their last name and address matching the parent’s state ID last name and address. Please note, we will not perform genital, nipple, or surface work on a minor |

What is the APP + what does it mean? The APP is the Association of Professional Piercers, and all of our piercers are proud members of it! It is a united group of piercing professionals that freely shares information to help fellow members, piercers, health care professionals, legislators, health inspectors, and the general public get the best and most up-to-date information about body piercing. |
What is the APP? What does it mean to me, the client? The Association of Professional Piercers (APP)(https://www.safepiercing.org/) is an international health and safety non-profit, voluntary organization. It’s governed by a voluntary elected Board of Directors (https://www.safepiercing.org/board_members.php) that freely shares information to help members, piercers, health care professionals, legislators, health inspectors, and the general public receive the best and most up-to-date information on body piercing. To be a member of the APP, a studio and the piercers themselves must meet and/or exceed strict APP Member Requirements (https://www.safepiercing.org/membership_requirements.php), such as stocking a specific quality of jewelry, staying up-to-date on CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens training, running spore tests on all sterilization equipment, and more! Needless to say, if you see a studio employing members of the APP, you know you’re in good hands and being taken care of staff members who care. Every single employee of Black Hole Body Piercing are either Associate or Business members that adhere to the APP guidelines and keep their education on body piercing up to date! |
