Service Policy Updates - November 2020

At this time, we have halted all nostril piercing services. If you would like to be added to our waitlist and contacted when we are offering them again, free free to call the studio at (775) 329-6010.

    Client Notice

    At Black Hole Body Piercing, we take public safety very seriously and have the health of our clients and employees in mind at all times. We have always practiced very stringent cleaning/disinfecting protocols (using recommended cleaning products from the CDC) and will continue to maintain a high level of cleanliness within our studio, as we always have, 

    Upon reopening for client services, we request a few things from our clients when visiting the studio. 

    • For our safety and yours, clients and staff will be required to wear a proper fitting face mask.
    • If you do not have one, we have them available for $1.
    • Please call from outside so we can bring one out to you.
    • All piercings, consultations and jewelry insertions MUST have an appointment. Please be flexible.
    • We may not have appointments available if you just stop by.
    • You may only have 1 support person or parent along with you in the studio. 
    • Please wash your hands or use hand sanitizer immediately upon entering the studio. 
    • Please do not touch our jewelry displays, you will be provided a disposable pointer. 
    • Client occupancy will be 5 persons so please wait outside if you see more than 5 people inside.
    • We will be with you shortly.  Please be patient.
    • We will require employees to stay away from the workplace if they exhibit the symptoms of the virus, or any other illness so wait times could potentially increase.
    • If you have a fever or are sick, please stay home and do not come into the studio. We will be here when you are feeling better and will be happy to reschedule appointments by phone 775-329-6010.

    We greatly appreciate your help in accommodating these requests, as we know public safety is as important to you as it is to us.

What is the APP?

The Association of Professional Piercers (APP) is an international health and safety nonprofit organization. The APP has dedicated itself to the dissemination of misinformation about body piercing. Governed by a voluntary, elected Board of Directors, the APP is a united group of piercing professionals that freely shares information to help fellow members, piercers, health care professionals, legislators, health inspectors, and the general public get the best and most up-to-date information about body piercing.

What does it mean to me, the client?

To be a member of the APP, a studio and the piercers themselves must meet and/or exceed strict APP Member Requirements, such as stocking a specific quality of jewelry, staying up-to-date on CPR, first aid, and blood-borne pathogens training, running spore tests on all sterilization equipment, and more!

If you see a studio employing APP members, you know you’re in the hands of staff members who care. Every Black Hole Body Piercing employee is either an APP Associate or Business Member, adhering to the guidelines and staying up-to-date on their education.
